Cost Centers Cross Trial Balance

alameen ERP contains a number of reports for following cost centers and their journal entries, including the "Cost Centers Trial Balance" report.

Report Purpose

The "Cost Centers Trial Balance" report shows the values of the debit and credit movements and the final balance of the accounts moved in the journal entries generated in all the cost centers defined in the file, over a period you set yourself.

It is one of the cross-tab reports of alameen ERP: it shows the balance of the cost centers in all the accounts moved in the entries, and the balance of the accounts moved in the entries of the cost centers.

You can control how the report is shown by choosing its vertical axis: either "Account", the default, or Cost Center. Your choice affects the shape of the report. When you choose the vertical axis "Cost Center", the number of columns of the report can become large; you can control the number of columns of the report and set their upper limit from the report options window - General tab - "Maximum column count" option, so the total number of columns of the report does not exceed the set number.

The report shows (by default, with the vertical axis "Account") the debit and credit movements and the balance of the account in each of the defined cost centers, as well as the total columns of the accounts: Debit, Credit, Balance.

You can narrow the view to the movements of a particular account in one cost center or in all the cost centers, and vice versa, and you can choose the period, the currency, the accounts level, and the cost centers level.

Reaching the Report

You can reach the Cost Centers Cross Trial Balance report from the main ribbon - Centers tab - Cost Centers Reports group.

Once requested, the report window appears as follows:

The window lets you set the criteria and data you want the report to show. It includes several main sections, such as the filter fields, the level of accounts and cost centers, the various options, and the sources the report is drawn from.
