Trial Balance

alameen ERP provides account analysis and final accounts reports to give a comprehensive and accurate view of your company's financial performance, including the "Trial Balance" report.

Report Purpose

The trial balance is used to check that the accounting operations are correct, and to get the balance of the accounts in a particular currency and parity over a set period, so it is essential for recording and analyzing financial transactions accurately.

You can request the trial balance of a particular account or customer. The report window also lets you set the type of the trial balance from the following options: Balance Of Balances, Sums, Balances.

When you request the trial balance of the type "Balances" with the options for showing main and sub accounts enabled, each main account shows the total debit balances and the credit balances of its sub accounts, and each sub account shows its debit or credit balance (the difference between the total debit and credit of the account).

When you request the trial balance of the type "Sums" with the options for showing main and sub accounts enabled, each main account shows the totals of the debit and credit values of its sub accounts, and each sub account shows its own debit and credit value.

When you request the trial balance of the type "Balance Of Balances" with the options for showing main and sub accounts enabled, each main account shows the final balance, which equals the difference between the totals of the debit and credit balances of its sub accounts, and each sub account shows its debit or credit balance (the difference between the total debit and credit of the account).

Reaching the Report

You can reach the Trial Balance report from the main ribbon - Accounts tab - Statements and Balances group.

Once requested, the report window appears as follows:

The report window contains various fields and options that help you view the details you need.

The window lets you set the criteria and data you want the report to show. It includes several main sections, such as the filter fields, the monthly trial balance setting, the various options, and the sources the report is drawn from.
