Issuing the First Sales Invoice

The sales invoice is the operation that takes materials out of the warehouse and records the revenue or the receivable, depending on the payment type.

Sales Invoice

This is where the actual sales cycle starts, linking the material to the warehouse, the customer, and the payment method.

What Must Be Ready?

  • The customer is defined, if the invoice is on credit or needs reports by customer.
  • The materials and the warehouse are ready.
  • The basic selling prices are known.
  • The sales invoice form is set up appropriately.

The Basic Fields at the Start

  • Client.
  • The date.
  • Payment.
  • The warehouse.
  • The client account or the cash account.
  • The materials, quantities, and prices in the table.

An Important Note About Prices

The material price may come from:

  • The invoice form settings.
  • The customer card.
  • Manual entry in the invoice.

So if an unexpected price appears, review the form and the card before assuming the problem is in the material itself.

Watch These Results After Saving

  • The quantity decreases in the correct warehouse.
  • The transaction is recorded on the correct customer for a credit sale.
  • The final value matches the intended price.
